Big weekend of sport sees ambassadors shine

Last weekend was a huge weekend in sport, and RADD was extrememly proud to see some of it's ambassadors star.

In cricket, the Sydney Sixers advanced to the inaugural Big Bash League final. The side withheld a strong finishing Hobart Hurricanes to claim an 11 run victory, and RADD ambassadors Steve Smith, Brett Lee, Stuart MacGill, Steven O'Keefe and Ben Rohrer all played important roles in the win. RADD congratulates the Sixers on a fantastic accomplishment in just the first season of the Big Bash competition.

In other cricket news, Australia's 4th test against India kicks off tomorrow in Adelaide, with many of RADDs biggest names aiming to clean sweep the series. Skipper Michael Clarke, Ricky Ponting and Mike Hussey will all be looing to continue the form they discovered a few weeks ago during the Sydney test, and fast bowler Ben Hilfenhaus will be spurred on by his recent rise in the ICC Bowling rankings, moving up to number 7 on the list.

In the A League, Perth Glory striker Shane Smeltz bagged a brace in his sides win over the Melbourne Victory, and the Central Coast Mariners 3-2 win over Adelaide United saw an absolute RADD fest take place. Of the 5 goals scored in the match, 4 were scored by players who have donated their time to RADD: Adam Kwasnik and Josh Rose from the Mariners, and Bruce Djite and Sergio van Dijk from Adelaide. Always good too see those who have helped us out get some well earned rewards!

Let's hope the boys can repeat this trend next weekend!
